Deadly Shooting at North Carolina House Party Leaves One Dead, 11 Injured
A tragic shooting turned a peaceful night into chaos at a house party in Mountain View, near Hickory, North Carolina, on Sunday, June 1. The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office reported that gunfire erupted around 12:45 a.m. on Walnut Acres Drive, disrupting the celebration of roughly 100 attendees including children.
The violence spread across the front and back yards of the home and into a nearby yard as guests fled in panic. Emergency responders quickly arrived to a scene that became an active investigation site. One individual succumbed to gunshot wounds, another remains in critical condition, and several others are hospitalized with varying injuries.
Authorities confirmed multiple firearms were used but no suspects have been identified and no arrests made so far.
