SCZONE Inaugurates Beltone Leasing and Factoring Branch at Sokhna Headquarters
The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has officially opened a new branch of Beltone Leasing and Factoring at its Sokhna Industrial Zone headquarters. The event featured Ahmed Saad, CEO of SCZONE, and Amir Ghannam, Deputy Head of Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs) for Leasing, Factoring, and Consumer Finance.
Beltone Leasing and Factoring, a subsidiary of Beltone Holding, received approval from Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) to operate within SCZONE, becoming the first non-banking financial institution in the zone. This milestone reinforces SCZONE as a hub for industrial investment and regional logistics.
Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairperson of SCZONE, emphasized the importance of this opening in providing specialized financial services and supporting SCZONE’s integrated financial infrastructure strategy to meet industrial and logistics needs.
Amir Ghannam highlighted the economic benefits, noting new financing avenues for industrial projects that support national economic development.
The launch supports SCZONE’s strategy to enhance investor services through a one-stop-shop, digital transformation, and expanding domestic and international banking presence. These efforts aim to streamline operations and elevate service standards, making SCZONE more attractive for global businesses.
This partnership with Beltone Leasing is expected to foster further collaborations, integrating financial services with industrial and logistics operations in Egypt’s special economic zones.
