Tragedy in Cleveland: 16-Month-Old Girl Dies After Being Left Alone for Over a Week

The mother, 21-year-old Kristen Jones, reportedly locked Janiya inside the apartment on March 18 before leaving for a vacation in Michigan with her partner, returning only nine days later. When Jones returned, she found her daughter deceased and called 911; however, emergency responders determined the baby had been dead for several days.
