Moon Hall Cairo Opens June 15 as Egypt’s First Centre for Learning Difficulties

Moon Hall Cairo will make history by opening as Egypt’s very first dedicated centre for learning difficulties on June 15. Located in the New Giza Educational Hub, the centre aims to support students with unique learning needs and introduce advanced approaches to specialized education in Egypt.

To mark its launch, Moon Hall Cairo will host an educational workshop, featuring renowned specialists from both the UK and Egypt. These experts will share knowledge and raise awareness about learning challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, and autism, while offering innovative strategies to educators, parents, and stakeholders.

Developed in partnership with Moon Hall School UK—a leading British institution supporting students with dyslexia and related conditions—the project was first announced in London in September 2024. The new centre seeks to adapt the proven British multidisciplinary approach to the Egyptian context, ensuring each intervention is tailored and evidence-based.

Moon Hall Cairo will provide a suite of specialized services:

  • Speech and language therapy
  • Occupational therapy for sensory and motor skills
  • Specialized support and interventions for dyslexia and academic difficulties
  • Comprehensive assessments for ADHD and autism spectrum disorders
  • In-depth educational psychology services for individualized learning plans
  • Enrichment programs for gifted students seeking more advanced learning opportunities

The team at Moon Hall Cairo consists of multidisciplinary professionals using internationally recognized methods, carefully adjusted for Egyptian students. This effort is the result of a prominent agreement signed during a UK-Egypt trade mission at the Egyptian Embassy in London, attended by officials from both nations.

Moon Hall Cairo is one in a series of educational initiatives by New Era Education, which is introducing top UK-affiliated schools into Egypt, including Uppingham Cairo and the forthcoming King’s School Canterbury International College.

Alongside the physical opening, the centre’s official website will go live on June 15, offering further information about all available services, admission details, and upcoming events. The digital presence aims to make vital support accessible to families and professionals nationwide.

As Egypt progresses towards inclusive and adaptive education, Moon Hall Cairo stands as a beacon for families, educators, and learners seeking individualized pathways to success, regardless of learning challenges. Its launch is a significant milestone for special education in Egypt, setting a promising example for future developments.
