Extreme Makeover: Henry (33) from Oss Transforms Himself into a Living Skull
Henry Rodriguez (33), living in Oss, stands out—not because of his accent or clothing style, but because he looks like a real-life skull—exactly as he wants.
With pitch-black eyes, bright red skin, and no nose or ears, what sounds like a Halloween costume is Henry’s daily reality. The Venezuelan-born man, now calling himself "The Real Red Skull," lives in Oss and leaves no one unmoved with his extreme body modifications.
From Eye-White Tattoo to World Record
It started with a seemingly innocent eye-white tattoo in 2012. Since then, Henry’s body has become a living art project. He had his nose and ears removed, underwent countless surgeries and cosmetic procedures, and tattooed his face entirely red. Black eyes, silicone implants, and scars around his jaw complete the skull illusion.
The scars are not accidental but conscious choices to emphasize his bone structure. "A skull doesn’t have ears, nose, or skin—so neither do I," Henry says without irony.
Body Modification as a Form of Life Art
Rodriguez is an internationally respected tattoo artist who has worked in 47 countries. He sees body modification not as provocation but as an art form. "Tribes have been doing it for centuries. Why shouldn’t I be allowed?"
Henry believes changing your body to match your identity is deeply human, not just a Western fad. Despite his confronting look, he receives much appreciation—especially in the tattoo and art communities.
‘Red Skull’ at Rest
Contrary to expectations, Henry settled in Oss for its peace. Though mostly speaking Spanish, his appearance speaks loudly and draws attention everywhere. "People can look, I don’t mind," he says. "I do this not for them, but for myself."
Fading Boundaries – Disappearing Taboos
What was once feared or misunderstood is now more accepted in 2025. Body modifications—though sometimes less extreme—are gaining traction among athletes and influencers. Henry welcomes this, advocating freedom to shape oneself physically and mentally.
More Than Eye-Catching
Henry Rodriguez is more than shock value; he is an artist and boundary-pusher. His radical transformation symbolizes control over body, identity, and life. In Oss, he may be “the man without a nose,” but to those who look deeper, he is a man whose body is a bold manifesto—a red manifesto with black eyes, carrying an unforgettable message.
